CeBIT - Gigabyte-Boards mit P45-Chipsatz
Gigabyte stellt zwei neue Platinen mit dem kommenden P45-Chipsatz von Intel aus: die GA-P45-DS3R und die GA-P45-DS4. Beide Platinen sind mit der neuen »Dynamic Energy Save«-Technik ausgestattet.
Die GA-P45-DS3R-Platine ist mit zwei PCI-Express-x16-Schnittstellen bestückt. Der Intel-P45-Chipsatz bietet hierbei den 2.0-Standard. Somit ist eine ATI-Crossfire-Konfiguration jetzt auch mit einem günstigen Intel-Chipsatz möglich. Als Audio-Chip kommt der ALC889A HD von Realtek zum Einsatz. Es wird ein FSB von bis zu 1600 MHz und DDR2-Speicher bis 1200 MHz unterstützt. Alle verbauten Kondensatoren sind »Solid Capacitor« und haben eine lange Lebensdauer.
Die etwas teurere Platine GA-P45-DS4 besitzt drei PCI-Express-x16-Steckplätze. Zwei müssen sich jedoch die Bandbreite teilen. Eine Heatpipe verteilt die entstehende Wärme der South-, der Northbridge und der Festspannungsregler. Das Board wird mit Dual-Bios und Easy Tune 5 Pro ausgeliefert. Es kommt der gleiche Audio-Chip von Realtek zum Einsatz wie bei der GA-P45-DS3R-Platine.
